Founded by ecommerce veterans, JP Werlin and Nick Bertolino, Downtown Ecommerce is built on a broad and diverse ecommerce experience base.

 

JP Werlin

JP Werlin is the Co-Founder and Partner at Downtown Ecommerce Partners whose specialty is ecommerce and online marketing strategy consulting.

 

Prior to starting Downtown Ecommerce Partners, JP served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for SearchMarketing.com. JP played a key role in the successful acquisition of the entire business by ChannelAdvisor in July 2005. JP worked as the Director of Online Marketing at GSI Commerce responsible for the online marketing efforts for 30 of GSI's Merchant Partners proving online marketing to be a viable Partner Service at GSI.

 

Prior to GSI, JP enjoyed 3 years at Overstock.com building the drop ship vendor "Partner Program" and managing all customer acquisition focused online marketing efforts including Paid and Natural Search, Portal, Comparison Shopping Engine, Affiliate and New Business ultimately driving 40% of total site sales.

 

JP has spoken about his experiences in online marketing at the National Retail Federation's Shop.org Marketing Conference and Annual Catalog Conference hosted by the DMA and blogs regularly on ThinkPipeline.com.

 

 

Nick Bertolino

Nick Bertolino is the Co-Founder and Partner at Downtown Ecommerce Partners whose specialty is ecommerce Operations, Product Management, and ecommerce Strategic Consulting.

 

Nick has over 17 years of professional work experience in general business management, strategic / management consulting, sales, interactive marketing, Internet / ecommerce, client relationship management and systems integration.

 

Nick has worked in the past for Deloitte Consulting, Cambridge Technology Partners, and several start-up technology organizations. He was previously employed by GSI Commerce, the market leader in ecommerce outsourcing for large organizations.

 

While employed with GSI Commerce, Nick had P&L responsibility for a large portfolio of ecommerce businesses, with a specific emphasis on luxury and electronics brands including Estee Lauder, Polo, Kate Spade, Bath and Body Works, Palm and Radioshack.

 

Specifically, Nick was responsible for the account management, sales, marketing and overall operations of these businesses. In addition, Nick has led many of these businesses through the build out and launch of their ecommerce businesses on the GSI platform.

 

Nick has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Drexel University and Master in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.

 

 

Dave Galgon

Dave Galgon brings eleven years of operations experience to the Downtown Ecommerce team. His specialties include process analytics, design, and improvement, and supply-chain technology and fulfillment solutions.

 

Prior to joining DEP, Dave spent seven years at Overstock.com where he served as the Outbound Fulfillment Director responsible for shipping operations and strategic projects. At Overstock, Dave played a critical role in the selection, implementation, and continuous refinement the company’s warehouse management solution – HighJump Software. He bootstrapped the Overstock’s refurbishment operations from inception to profitability. And he led continuous process and infrastructure improvements with an eye on maximizing ROI and maintaining flexibility in the operation. Dave also played point on corporate initiatives designed to reduce cycle times in product merchandising and creative production.

 

Dave leverages his background into successful engagements through the tenants of team-teambuilding, knowledge sharing, and informed decision making, all focused on driving results.

 

Dave has a Bachelors Degree from Dickinson College and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

 

Adam Riemer

Adam Riemer is the Marketing Director and brings over 10 years of experience with traditional and online marketing expertise.

 

Not only has Adam been booked to speak on panels internationally at shows like Search Engine Strategies, but he also brings his knowledge and proven track record of success with everything from media buying, branding and ad design, to affiliate marketing, email and SEO. With his work at various companies as well as independent consulting, Adam has successfully launched two major newspapers in the Mid Atlantic region of the USA, grown affiliate programs by over 700% year after year, been able to increase ROI while cutting spend by over 65% in PPC through his own methodologies, strategize and implement numerous successful product launches, as well as help everyone from publicly traded corporations to mom and pop shops, universities and non profits.
