Junior SEO Copywriter

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

ABOUT THE JOB 


The Junior Copywriter works with the content team to create unique content for clients based on strategic goals. This will include writing blogs, long-form articles, as well as products and services pages for a wide variety of businesses. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on content strategy, implementing feedback with ease. You are motivated, have excellent writing and editing skills, and are comfortable with a fast-paced work environment with a variety of B2B/B2C industries. 


In addition to writing copy, you will also help to manage relationships with freelance and marketplace copywriters. This role will oversee third-party content to ensure that it conforms to SEO best practices and agency standards. 


SEO copywriting experience isn't required for this role as training is provided, however, because we work with multiple clients, the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently are key factors for success. 


WHAT DOES AN SEO COPYWRITER DO? 



  • Write high-quality web content for client websites and editorial placements elsewhere on the web 

  • Update existing web pages with content ideas and strategic keyword opportunities 

  • Provide ongoing support to improve the content creation process, including development of briefs, use of technology, and testing industry trends 

  • Use digital research tools to identify search trends, and then create content that optimizes search results 



  • Learn to identify competitive keyword opportunities and targeted keyword lists 

  • Learn to analyze content opportunity and performance 


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? 



  • Adaptable writing style for different demographics, emulating client voice and tone 

  • Close attention to detail and a heavy focus on creating quality content. 



  • "Always learning" attitude, driven by the desire to gain knowledge and improve skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field 

  • Preferred experience with web-based content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.)
