It has been a busy year for ecommerce land in 2008:

1. Zappos is selling electronics.

2. NewEgg is selling Shoes.

It is definitely a sign of the end of the world. Everybody wants to be Amazon. How long until these guys get into cloud computing?

In the annals of ecommerce, 2008 will be the Year of the Marketplace.
